Pre-Hospital Placement Training for SDÜ Isparta SHMYO Students
Dr. Ensar Güney organized a critical training program for health program students at the Isparta Health Services Vocational School, affiliated with Süleyman Demirel University. Students studying First Aid and Emergency Care, Anaesthesia, Dental Prosthesis Technology, Oral and Dental Health, Physiotherapy, Medical Documentation and Secretarial Studies, Elderly Care, Medical Laboratory Techniques, and Medical Imaging Techniques were provided with theoretical and practical information before beginning their hospital placements.
The training covered in detail the occupational risks that may be encountered in the field and the necessary precautions to be taken. Vital topics such as injuries from sharp instruments, management of medical waste, infectious diseases, and ways to protect against these diseases were emphasised. Students were taught through practical examples how to respond in the event of a possible injury or infectious disease.
In his closing remarks, Dr Ensar Güney stated, ‘It is of great importance for our students who will work in the health sector to be aware and well-equipped, both for their own health and for the safety of the patients they will serve.’
Such training aims to ensure that students are better prepared for the field. Isparta SHMYO continues to support future healthcare professionals not only with theoretical knowledge but also with practical, field-oriented information.
