Anesthesia Program

Opened in 1997, the “Anesthesia Program” provides anesthesia training in order to train health professionals with modern knowledge and skills who can fulfill the requirements of the age and profession, taking the valuable academicians of the Department of Anesthesia of SDU Faculty of Medicine behind it. Students gain the necessary knowledge and skills by experiencing the theoretical knowledge they receive through operating room and reanimation practices and institutional internship.

Mission
To train professionals in the field of anesthesia who can evaluate the patient before anesthesia application, make preoperative preparation and anesthesia planning, have the competence to use current devices, keep the necessary records, know the drugs used in general and local anesthesia and their safe applications, apply drugs, fluids, blood and blood products to the patient, carry out a given task independently, are prone to teamwork, and apply professional ethical rules, while adhering to the rules required by professional knowledge.
