Medical Laboratory Techniques Program

The Medical Laboratory Techniques Program started education in the 2008-2009 academic year within the Isparta Health Services Vocational School. A 2-year associate degree education is provided in the Medical Laboratory Techniques Program. The language of instruction is Turkish. In this program, personnel are trained who can provide reliable results in assisting the physician in the diagnosis, follow-up and treatment of the disease, can follow technological developments in their profession, can combine theoretical knowledge with practice, know their responsibilities and think and act accordingly, are compatible with the work environment, can participate in teamwork, and can work in institutions providing medical laboratory services. The theoretical and some practical courses of the program are conducted within the college, while other applications are conducted in the Süleyman Demirel University Hospital Laboratories. In Term IV, summer internship is conducted in clinical laboratories for 30 working days. Courses are given by the academic staff assigned to the program and the academic staff of Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine. In parallel with the developing technology and population growth, the future of the profession is bright, and they can easily be employed with the title of “Medical Laboratory Technician” in hospitals, as well as other health institutions and laboratories.

As the Medical Laboratory Techniques Program, our mission is to bring into the business life qualified laboratory technicians who care about human health, are equipped with science and technology, can work in various public and private sector laboratories, have professional technical knowledge and ethical values, can perform various examinations and analyses such as biochemical, microbiological and serological analyses in the diagnosis of diseases, are prone to teamwork.

Vision
In addition to being a program that ranks first in regional, national and international student preferences, it is aimed to train professional technicians who have reached an international level of knowledge in their field, are primarily preferred by institutions/organizations in the health sector, are researchers and constantly improve themselves.
