Medical Ethics and Law: Seminar for Students by SDU Deputy General Secretary Av. Abdullah ABALI
Within the scope of the “Medical Deontology and Ethics” course, the students and faculty members of the Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program came together in the course hosted by the Deputy Secretary General of our University, Attorney Abdullah ABALI. Av. Abdullah Abalı covered a comprehensive topic titled “The Relationship between Medical Ethics and Law”.
In the first part of the course, the place, duties and authorization areas of medical secretaries on the legal ground were discussed. Based on the field of duty and authority, explanations were made on what kind of ethical problems medical secretaries may face. In the next section, Av. Abalı explained the relationship between medical ethics and the rules of law in a comprehensive manner. In this context, examples of ethical problems that medical secretaries may encounter on duty were explained and the legal consequences were discussed in detail.
In the last part of the lecture, which attracted great interest of the students, the questions of the students were answered.
