Isparta HSVS Reaches the Summit in Research, Innovation, and Social Contribution
The “2024 Academic Performance, Social Contribution, and Academic Robe Ceremony,” organized by Süleyman Demirel University (SDÜ) to recognize the university's scientific competence and add value to society, witnessed significant achievements. At the ceremony, the staff of Isparta Health Services Vocational School (HSVS) were awarded in four different categories: scientific research, technology production, institutional quality, and social benefit, providing strong support to the university's institutional goals. This multifaceted success of the vocational school demonstrated how deeply SDÜ has internalized its mission of research, innovation, and social responsibility.
The vocational school's productivity in the field of technology and innovation was further validated by Lecturer Hidayet Yıldız's achievement. Lecturer Yıldız won a Bronze Medal Award for her patent application at TEKNOFEST 2025, the world's largest aviation, space, and technology festival. Dr. Gözde Karaca, Assistant Professor, who has proven her potential to produce tangible and commercially viable outputs in the field of health technologies and has also received national-level certification for her scientific research competence, has reinforced her efforts to offer innovative solutions to national health problems with the acceptance of her project submitted to the prestigious support program run by the Turkish Health Institutes Presidency (TÜSEB).

In the area of socially beneficial work, the efforts of Lecturer Şeyma Kurşun stood out. Lecturer Kurşun was awarded the Social Contribution Award for her active role in volunteer-based, socially responsible projects, particularly those that support the participation of elderly individuals in social life, such as the "Retired Elders University." This humanitarian achievement reflects SDÜ's vision of supporting empathy-based projects that touch all segments of society. Success was also achieved in the administrative field, which underpins institutional functioning; Dr. Veli Çapalı was recognized with the "Quality Certificate Award for Administrative Units" for his meticulous institutional improvement and quality assurance efforts.

In addition to the awards, academics who have advanced in their careers received their academic gowns, officially registering their new titles. During this significant event, Asst. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Hüseyin Cansever, a faculty member of our vocational school, also had the honor of wearing his academic gown and assuming the responsibility of scientific representation. Dr. Cansever's promotion highlights the academic strength of Isparta HSVS and its continuous commitment to scientific development.

With these multifaceted achievement awards and academic promotions, our Rectorate has demonstrated that Isparta HSVS is fully aligned with the university's vision and mission goals. Our school's personnel, by combining their efforts to transform scientific productivity into social benefit with innovative projects, have elevated the university's institutional success graph and concretized SDÜ's contribution to regional and national development.
