FUTURE PARAMEDİCS MET İN ALANYA: LEARNİNG TO SAVE LİVES THROUGH GAMES!
The Paramedic Games Development Project, carried out within the scope of UNİDES 5th Term in collaboration with the From Idea to Project Community and the Young Health Professionals Community, was successfully held on 14–15–16 February, hosted by Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University. The events were organised in Alanya with high participation.
During the three-day programme, students studying in the field of health had the opportunity to develop both educational and innovative projects by addressing the basic practices of the paramedic profession through a gamification approach. Participants worked on game designs based on case scenarios, emergency response processes, and teamwork, strengthening their problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
At the end of the programme, the developed projects were presented and evaluated in front of the participants. Successful teams were rewarded based on evaluations made according to the criteria of innovation level, applicability, and educational contribution. The event enabled students to put their theoretical knowledge into practice while also serving as a strong example of interdisciplinary collaboration.
Speaking about the event, Lecturer Ensar Güney stated that such projects not only enhance students' professional skills but also greatly contribute to their self-confidence. Community President İsmail Kumpur emphasised that these collaborations, which bring together students from different universities, are invaluable in helping young people develop a project culture.
The UNİDES 5th Term Paramedic Games Development Project enabled participants to learn while having fun and was remembered as an exemplary organisation that paved the way for innovative approaches in health education.
