Elder Care Program Participates in the 12th International Symposium on Social and Applied Gerontology

 

As the Elder Care Program of ISHMYO, we participated with our students in the 12th International Symposium on Social and Applied Gerontology, hosted by the Department of Gerontology at Akdeniz University between 2–4 November 2026.

The symposium addressed current scientific developments, research, practices, and future policies in the fields of aging and later life. Bringing together national and international academics, researchers, and healthcare professionals, the event provided a platform for discussing the interdisciplinary nature of gerontology and multidimensional approaches to aging.

The symposium was attended by our first- and second-year students and academic staff members of the Elder Care Program. Our students had the opportunity to follow current developments in the field, listen to experts from different disciplines, and relate their theoretical knowledge to scientific research.
