Addiction and Cybercrime Awareness Training for ISHMYO Students During Green Crescent Week
As part of Green Crescent Week activities, the Isparta Provincial Police Department took action to raise awareness among young people about addiction and digital threats. Teams from the Cybercrime Department and the Narcotics Department organized a comprehensive training program at the Isparta Vocational School of Health Services (ISHMYO).
The program was carried out under the coordination of Hidayet Yıldız, the instructor of the Addiction Prevention course. The training was delivered by Digital Forensics Specialist Sercan Düden from the Cybercrime Department and NARCO-Guidance Officer Engin Çağlar from the Narcotics Department.
During the training sessions conducted by the two experts, topics such as types of crime, government policies on combating addiction, cybersecurity threats, efforts to fight drug use, and community-supported security practices were discussed.
In addition, students were given practical demonstrations on the use of the KADES mobile application, which enables women to quickly contact law enforcement in emergency situations, and the UYUMA application, which facilitates reporting in the fight against drug-related crimes.
Officials emphasized that combating crime is not only the responsibility of law enforcement but also a shared responsibility of society, and highlighted the importance of raising young people as conscious and responsible individuals. The program concluded with a question-and-answer session with the students.
