A New Step in Anesthesia Education: The Video Laryngoscope

 

A video laryngoscope has been added to the educational equipment of the Anesthesia Program at Süleyman Demirel University’s Isparta Vocational School of Health Services to enhance the program's practical training opportunities.

The video laryngoscope—a device used for airway management and endotracheal intubation during anesthesia procedures—has been integrated into the practical training curriculum to help students develop their professional knowledge and skills.

Following the acquisition of the device, the first practical training session was conducted with students from the Anesthesia Program. During the session, students were instructed on the purpose, key features, and significance of the video laryngoscope in airway management, and were provided with a hands-on demonstration of its use.

This enhancement, aimed at strengthening the practical training infrastructure of the Anesthesia Program, is designed to help students become familiar with modern medical technologies, reinforce their theoretical knowledge through practical application, and further develop their professional skills.
